Mode Control

Several A/C-heater control panel mode settings are possible to provide the desired comfort level. Some models may use international symbols. Each mode is listed in order (clockwise) as positioned on mode selector. Operation is as follows:
- In vent mode, compressor does not operate and outside air is delivered through instrument panel vents.
- In BI-LEV (bi-level) mode, conditioned air is directed through instrument panel vents and floor ducts.
- In floor mode, outside air is heated and directed through floor ducts.
- In mix/blend (defog) mode, heated airflow is divided between windshield defroster vents and floor ducts.
- In defrost mode, heated air is directed to windshield defroster vents.
