Clutch Assembly: Inspection
- Clean flywheel friction surface. Inspect flywheel for damage or warpage. Replace or machine as required. Check wear on facings of clutch disc by measuring depth of each rivet head depression. See CLUTCH DISC SERVICE LIMITS .
- If depth has reached service limit at any rivet head, replace clutch disc assembly. Check diaphragm spring and pressure plate for wear or damage. If the spring or plate is excessively worn or damaged, replace pressure plate assembly.
