Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition ON, verify that DTCs U1826, U1827, or C0292 are not set.
  2. Ignition OFF, disconnect the yaw/lateral acceleration sensor connector.
  3. Ignition OFF for 5 minutes, test for less than 10 ohms between the low reference circuit terminal 6 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified range, test the low reference circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, replace the EBCM.
  4. Ignition ON, test for 11.75-12.25 volts between the 12-volt reference circuit terminal 1 and ground.
    • If less than the specified range, test the 12-volt reference circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the EBCM.
    • If greater than the specified range, test the 12-volt reference circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the EBCM.
  5. If all circuits test normal, replace the Yaw Rate/Lateral Acceleration Sensor.
