WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1999 Cadillac Eldorado and 1999 Cadillac DeVille. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Perform appropriate FUNCTIONAL TEST . Go to next step.
- Ambient temperature must be greater than 48°F (8°C) before self-diagnostics can be performed. Start engine, bring to operating temperature. Set climate control panel to 85°F (29°C). Set PASS TEMP on climate control panel to coolest setting. If air from passenger instrument panel outlets is cooler than driver's instrument panel outlets, go to next step. If passenger side is not cooler than driver side, go to step 5.
- Set climate control panel to 65°F (18°C). Set PASS TEMP on climate control panel to warmest setting. If air from passenger instrument panel outlets is warmer than driver's instrument panel outlets, go to next step. If passenger side is not warmer than driver side, go to step 5.
- System operating as designed. Inform customer of system operation.
- Check for proper door actuator adjustment. Check for broken linkage or missing components. Connect scan tool. Reprogram dual zone ON. Recheck system for proper operation. If passenger temperature control does not operate, see DUAL ZONE SWITCH DIAGNOSIS .
