Removal & Installation

  1. Remove door trim panel. See DOOR TRIM PANEL  .
  2. Remove water deflector. See WATER DEFLECTOR  .
  3. On Seville, remove inner panel cam on front door.
  4. On all models, remove the rod from the handle. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 .
  5. Remove rear run channel retainer by drilling out rivet using a 1/4" drill bit.
  6. Lift up on rear run channel retainer to disengage lower retainer from upper channel.
  7. Remove the rod from the lock.
  8. Remove the rivets using a 4.8 mm (3/16") drill bit.
  9. Remove the screws.
  10. Remove connector.
  11. Remove any other electrical connectors present, depending on options such as keyless entry, door ajar, etc.
  12. Remove lock module. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 .
  13. To install, reverse removal procedure. Use a 1/4" peel type rivet to replace rear run channel retainer.
