Electric Brake Release Switch Test: On-Vehicle
- Turn ignition and instrument panel switches on. Connect test light or voltmeter to ground. Probe Purple wire at brake switch connector with test light or voltmeter.
- If test light is on or voltmeter shows 12 volts, system is okay. If test light is not on or 12 volts do not exist, probe adjacent terminal. If test light is on or 12 volts exist, adjust or replace switch as necessary. If test light is not on or 12 volts do not exist, repair wiring to switch.
