Some Power Seat Functions Inoperative
- Perform POWER SEATS SYSTEM CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING. Go to next step.
- Ensure power seat switch is properly connected. Use test light and backprobe between power seat switch connector terminals "E" (Tan wire) and "D" (Light Green wire). Move power seat switch to forward and back positions. If test light comes on in both positions, go to next step. If test light does not come on in both positions, replace power seat switch.
- Backprobe between power seat switch connector terminals "B" (Light Blue wire) and "A" (Yellow wire). Move rear height switch to up and down positions. If test light comes on in both positions, go to next step. If test light does not come on in both positions, replace power seat switch.
- Backprobe between power seat switch connector terminals "G" (Dark Green wire) and "H" (Dark Blue wire). Move front height switch to up and down positions. If test light comes on in both positions, check circuits to suspect motor. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If circuits are okay, replace suspect motor. If test light does not come on in both positions, replace power seat switch. See POWER SEAT SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
