Clutch Assembly: Installation

  1. Using alignment tool, install clutch disc and pressure plate. Install flywheel holding tool. Tighten pressure plate mount bolts evenly, in diagonal pattern. Install clutch housing.
  2. Lightly apply molybdenum grease on contact surfaces of release bearing, disc hub splines, pressure plate and release lever. Install slave cylinder with bleeder screw at bottom.
  3. Install drive shaft. To preload center bearing, move bracket .078" (2.0 mm) forward in slots. Install and tighten NEW drive shaft flange lock nuts. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
