Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Radio Removal Tool T10057
• Protective Cap For Cable Connector VAS 6223/9

The information electronics control module 1 is located inside the instrument panel.

-- Turn off all electrical consumers.

-- Remove the key.

-- If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault Finding".

Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

Removing 

-- Insert the two clips from the T10057 into the slots on the information electronics control module 1 until they engage. Points on the grip eyelets of tool face outward.

-- Remove the information electronics control module 1 from the installation frame.

-- Remove the T10057 by pushing the locking tabs on information electronics control module 1.

-- Release and disconnect the connections from the information electronics control module 1.

-- Connect the VAS 6223/9 -1- to the connector for the MOST-Bus -2-.

Installing 

-- Connect all harness connectors.

-- Slide the information electronics control module 1 into the installation frame until it engages.
