Encode control module

Have you just replaced a control module with traction control function (ASR), or is one of the following DTCs stored in the DTC memory of the control module?

"ABS/EDL/transmission - electrical connection"
"Control module incorrectly encoded"
"CAN-bus - No message from transmission control module"

The control module must be coded according to the type of engine and transmission.

NOTE:

The coding can only be performed if a workshop code is stored in V.A.G 1551.
See Operating instructions for V.A.G 1551.
The 5-digit coding will appear when the control module identification is displayed.

Connect Scan tool V.A.G 1551 and select "Brake electronics" with address word 03. See VAG1551 SCAN TOOL (ST), CONNECTING AND ENTERING ADDRESS WORD .
Check the control module version. See CHECK CONTROL MODULE VERSION and press the --> button.
Press --> button.

Press buttons -0- and -7- for "Coding control module" function.

Confirm input with -Q- button.

Enter the required code number and confirm with -Q- button.

The display shows the control module identification and the code entered (For example, 00000).
