The steering column is only available as a complete unit for a replacement part. Servicing is not possible.

Steering lock housing can be modified.

WARNING:

Before removing steering wheel, wheels must be positioned in the straight-ahead position
Observe safety precautions for working on airbags. See appropriate Air Bag article in RESTRAINTS.
If these procedures are not observed, the airbag system may not function properly during vehicle operation!

Remove airbag unit for sport steering wheel. See appropriate Air Bag article in RESTRAINTS.
Remove steering wheel for sport steering wheel. See appropriate Air Bag article in RESTRAINTS.
Observe procedures for removing steering angle sensor in vehicles with Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP). See STEERING ANGLE SENSOR -G85-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
