1. While pushing in the hook (a) with a flat-tip screwdriver, release the sunvisor (b) from the holder (c), and rotate the sunvisor backward 45°
NOTE: Make sure the hook slides into the bracket cover as you rotate the sunvisor. - D.

1. Raise the vehicle .

2. Turn over the rear inner fender (a) as needed. (Figure 1)
3. Remove the right rear damper gusset (b). (Figure 1)
NOTE:The right rear damper gusset gets in the way when pulling the headliner out of the vehicle.

• Installation
When using a new headliner, check the headliner and the pillar trim overlap. - Refer to: SRS Component Replacement/Inspection After Deployment or Airbag and Tensioner Disposal

Do the following before starting your work.
Remove:

- Have an assistant help you when removing and installing the support strut.
- Use eye protection when prying the support strut clips.
NOTE:- The tailgate support struts should not be removed when the tailgate is closed or not fully open.
- If the tailgate support strut removal with motor is required, remove the other side tailgate support strut without motor at first.
- Support the tailgate with a prop to the vehicle, not to the ground.
• Removal
1. Remove the tailgate support strut without motor (a) at first.
NOTE: Do not remove the clips from the support strut.• Installation
NOTE:- Install the tailgate support strut with motor before installing the tailgate support strut without motor.
- The tailgate support strut with motor must be installed on the left side.
- Make sure covered spring side is attached to the hinge side.

- If you are replacing the side curtain airbag after a deployment, refer to Component Replacement/Inspection After Deployment - Refer to: SRS Component Replacement/Inspection After Deployment or Airbag and Tensioner Disposal for a complete list of other parts that must also be replaced.
- Review the interior trim replacement procedure before doing repair or service .

Do the following before starting your work.
Remove:
- Headliner
• Installation
NOTE:- Before installing the headliner, make sure the SRS indicator works normally.
- If the side curtain airbag is frayed, or has any other visible damage, replace it. Do not attempt to repair an airbag.
- When you install the side curtain airbag, make sure it is not twisted, and that it is not caught between the inflator bracket by the bracket bolts.
- Make sure that the side curtain airbag inflator retainer is installed properly. Otherwise the side curtain airbag could incorrectly deploy and cause damage or injuries.
- If there is any damage to the side curtain airbag, do not try to repair it. Replace any damaged side curtain airbag.
■ After Installation
- 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Reconnect
- Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
