Did you know you can replace a damaged climate control unit lens? Acura parts stock carries a replacement lens (P/N 79601-STX-A41) just for that purpose; there's no need to replace the entire climate control unit.

Replacing a damaged lens is really a snap once you remove the climate control unit from the vehicle. Here's how you do it:

1. Following the procedure in the '07-08 MDX S/M or in ISIS, carefully remove the climate control unit. You'll notice the unit has 10 clips that hold the lens firmly in place: six clips on the top, four clips on the bottom.

2. Use a flat-tip screwdriver to release the two outer clips on the top of the unit, then release the four inner clips.
3. Now flip the unit over, release the four clips on the bottom of the unit, and remove the lens.

4. Carefully position the replacement lens over the unit, and snap it into place.
5. Reinstall the unit and you're done with this repair.
