Removal & Installation: Strut: Installation

Loosely install strut (A) on frame with aligning tab (B) facing inside, then loosely install five flange nuts (C). See Fig 1 .
Install strut fork (D) over driveshaft and onto lower arm. Install front strut in strut fork so aligning tab (B) is aligned with slot in strut fork. See Fig 2 .

NOTE: Manufacturer recommends using a new self-locking nut with strut fork pinch bolt.

Loosely install strut pinch bolt (E) into strut fork. Loosely install a NEW self-locking nut (F) with flange bolt (G). See Fig 2 .
Raise knuckle with a floor jack until vehicle just lifts off the safety stand. Tighten strut pinch bolt.
Tighten flange bolt and self-locking nut. Tighten flange nuts on top of strut to specified torque. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install front wheel.
