GPS Satellite Icon Is Not Indicated

  1. Check the rear window.

    Is there window tint applied to the rear window that contains any metallic content?

    1. YES  -Swap a known-good navigation unit that was verified displaying a green satellite icon. If a satellite icon is still not indicated, remove the window tint and recheck.
    2. NO  -Go to step 2.
  2. Check for electronic aftermarket accessories (possibly hidden), mounted near the GPS antenna or the navigation unit.

    Are there any electronic accessories?

    1. YES  -Disable the accessories and recheck.
    2. NO  -Go to step 3.
  3. Perform the "System Link" check under picture diagnosis (see SYSTEM LINKS  ).

    Is "NG" indicated?

    1. YES  -Repair as indicated by the system link check.
    2. NO  -Check that nothing is blocking the GPS antenna located under the package shelf and recheck where nothing can block the GPS satellite signal.
