MAINSHAFT Speed Sensor

  1. Mainshaft speed sensor is located on the transaxle. See Figure -Figure . Disconnect electrical connector for mainshaft shaft speed sensor from transaxle sub-harness.
  2. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between terminals of mainshaft speed sensor electrical connector. Replace mainshaft speed sensor if resistance is not 400-600 ohms at 70°F (20°C).
